Dr. Dennis Smiler is a recognized expert in the field of implant dentistry and an innovator for bone graft procedures. He is an experienced clinician and educator of international acclaim. His pioneering research makes possible an out-patient office procedure that increases bone graft success, decreases post operative discomfort and avoids expense of hospitalization, by using the patient's stem cells. For over 30 years dentists from southern California and from around the world attend Dr. Smiler's seminars, workshops and live surgical demonstrations to receive training in the newest up-to-date techniques in patient care in bone grafting, bone marrow stem cells for bone growth, and dental implants. A dentist and an oral & maxillofacial surgeon experienced in all aspects of diagnosis, treatment planning and surgery including; oral medicine, extractions, wisdom teeth, infections, implants, and bone grafts, Dr. Smiler has dedicated his career to provide patients with the most recent techniques in a caring and professional environment.

After receiving his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Smiler continued his education earning a Masters of Science degree from Boston University Graduate School of Dentistry. He is trained in cosmetic dental surgery and is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, American Congress of Oral Implantology, the American Society of Osseointegration and other societies and associations. He is a Fellow in the: International Congress of Oral Implantology, American Society of Osseointegration, and American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons; and is an Honored Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.

He is a private practice dentist in Encino, California. He has published numerous articles in dental professional literature and contributed to periodicals and text books. He is founder of the Implant Team Seminar, President of the non-profit Platinum Foundation for Research and Education, and President of Nubone, LLC. He lectures extensively and participates in symposiums both domestically and internationally at universities, academy meetings and implant conferences.
