Tooth Extraction/Impacted Canines

At times in the growing child, the canine teeth are impacted (get stuck) within the jaw bone. These teeth are the second most common tooth to become impacted. They are stuck and cannot come into function. When this happens, the oral surgeon, in cooperation with the orthodontist, exposes the teeth for braces and gentle movement into a normal position.
